At least 30, 000 underprivileged children drawn from three communities in Warri, Delta State will this year benefit from the Inner City Mission Children Food Bank, which is being sponsored by the Warri zone of the Christ Embassy.
Briefing newsmen during the 2016 flag off of the scheme at the zonal headquarter of the church, the Warri Zonal Director of the church, Pastor Ciji Darah, said that the programme which came into existence three years ago, has fed over 60,000 homeless and underprivileged children across various communities in the area.
Darah, represented by the Senior Pastor of the zone, Pastor Yemi Morakinyo said that the initiative intends to secure and redirect the future of children who have been left uncared for and might have wasted their lives on prostitution, armed robbery and other unwholesome vices.
He explained that aside the distribution of food to poverty-stricken children in Igbudu, Iyara, Warri Inland communities, the church was also embarking on family support, back to school initiatives, provision of pipe bore water and provision of public toilets to the communities.
THANK YOU CHRIST EMBASSY!!! MORE BLESSINGS!!!
