Presidency release Buhari, children pictures to mark celebration
Nigeria - The Presidency on Saturday in Abuja released some filed pictures of President Muhammadu Buhari with children in the Presidential Villa, Abuja, as part of memorial events to mark this year’s Children’s Day.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Buhari left Abuja for London on May 10, to see his doctors for follow-up medical checks.

Two men trying to stop anti-Muslim rant killed on Oregon train
US - A man fatally stabbed two people aboard a Portland, Oregon, commuter train when they tried to stop him from harassing two women who appeared to be Muslim, police said.
The attack on Friday afternoon unfolded hours before the start of Ramadan, Islam's holy month, when most of the world's 1.6 billion Muslims observe a daily religious fast.

Amaechi had in a statement by his media office, described the purported award and honour by Wike as “a poisoned chalice”.

Nigeria - Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has arrived Taormina, Italy to be part of the ongoing G7 summit in the country.
Osinbajo was present in the summit to represent Nigeria at the 43rd G7 summit with other world leaders like Donald Trump, Emmanuel Macron, Angela Merkel and others all in attendance.
The summit which started on Friday, May 26 will end today, Saturday, May 27.
The acting president is therefore expected back in the country later today.

Nigeria - No fewer than 14 armed militants have been killed in gun battle with special forces deployed to comb the creeks and rescue the six children kidnapped from Lagos State Model College, Igbonla, Epe, Lagos State on Thursday, The Nation learnt yesterday.
