Manchester City's Yaya Toure faces drink driving charge
Premier League footballer Yaya Toure has been charged with drink driving.
The Ivorian international, who plays for Manchester City, was stopped in Dagenham, east London, on Monday night, according to police.
Nigerian Navy destroys militant camps, arrests suspects in Bayelsa
The Nigerian Navy has dismantled some active militant camps and arrested some suspected militants and oil thieves in Bayelsa State.
The destruction of active militant and illegal refining camps in the creeks of the state were part of many operations in the Exercise Eagle Eye (EEE) carried out in the Niger Delta region by the Navy between Thursday and Saturday.
Castro ashes arrive in revolution’s cradle for burial
The convoy carrying the ashes of Cuba’s late communist leader Fidel Castro capped an island-wide journey on Saturday, reaching the cradle of his revolution for a big ceremony before his burial.
Massive crowds cheered as the olive-green jeep that has pulled the cedar urn with Castro’s ashes across Cuba since Wednesday rolled into Santiago de Cuba.

Fire at Oakland music event leaves nine dead and 25 missing in California
At least nine people have been killed and about 25 others are missing after a massive fire at a warehouse party in California.
Firefighters said there had been about 50 people inside the building when the tragedy happened in Oakland's Fruitvale district late on Friday night.

NYSC mourns and probes death of three corps members in three camps
Nigeria - The National Youth Service Corps on Saturday expressed its regrets and condolences to the families of three corps members who died during the on-gong 2016 Batch ‘B’ (Stream I) Orientation Course in Bayelsa, Kano and Zamfara States respectively.
The organisation has also set up “a high-powered committee” to investigate the causes of the death of Chinyerum Nwenenda Elechi, Ifedolapo Oladepo and Monday Asuquo Ukeme deployed to the three States.
Oh my word! 22 weddings, 81 births in IDP camps in Yobe, Nigeria
At least 22 marriage contracts were sealed and 81 babies delivered in the past 20 months at the Pompomari Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs)camp in Damaturu in Yobe state.
The Executive Secretary of Yobe Emergency Management Agency, Alhaji Musa Jidawa , told newsmen in Damaturu on Saturday that the camp, established in March 2015 for IDPs from villages in Gujba Local Government Area displaced by insurgent.

Nigerian-born Adebayo Ogunlesi, who is the chairman of Global Infrastructure Partners, a private equity firm and one of Fortune 500 companies, has been named a member of an economic advisory forum to US president-elect Donald Trump.
The 63 year-old Nigerian is the only African face in the 16-man team, which has Steve Schwarzman, CEO of private-equity giant Blackstone as chairman.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Jose Mourinho have avoided paying tax on millions of dollars of earnings by channelling money abroad, according to claims based on a huge document leak.
Ronaldo, the Real Madrid star, and Mourinho, the Manchester United manager, allegedly moved large sums to the British Virgin Islands.
