A soldier was killed by suspected separatists in southwestern Cameroon, an official said, bringing the number killed in restive English-speaking regions to four in one week.

“During the night of 9 to 10 November, a soldier serving the 22nd motorised infantry battalion was cruelly killed by a squad of terrorists,” government spokesman Issa Tchiroma Bakary told AFP.

Marseille defender Patrice Evra has been suspended until June 2018 for kicking one his own team’s fans before a Europa League game, UEFA said Friday.
Evra was suspended from ”all UEFA club competition matches” until June 30 and must pay a fine of 10,000 euros ($11,650).

Nigeria - Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo, sitting at Lagos High Court in Igbosere has dismissed an application by billionaire kidnap kingpin Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike alias "Evans" seeking to quash the charges of kidnapping, murder and illegal possession of firearms filed against him by the Lagos State government.

The court also rejected Evan’s contention that the court has no jurisdiction to try him.

Nigeria - A group of five teenagers between the age of 13 and 14 were recently arrested by men of the OPC vigilante outfit in the Ita Elega area of Abeokuta for burgling a shop in the night.
The teenage boys who were captured on video while confessing to the crime said they noticed that the shop was not ususally locked properly so they decided to steal from it in the night.

Nigeria - The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB has said it delisted about 72 designated CBT centres for engaging in various acts of misconduct during the 2017 Unified Tertiary and Matriculation Examinations held in different parts of the country.
Registrar of JAMB, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, disclosed this at a meeting with CBT owners and operators from the 36 states in Lagos on Wednesday.

Col. Aminu Iliyasu, Spokesman of 6 Division, Nigerian Army, Port Harcourt, said in a statement that several wooden boats and barges loaded with huge quantity of crude oil were seized.
