WORLD NEWS: ISRAEL - PALESTINE; Israeli guard shoots dead 13-year-old Palestinian girl
An Israeli security guard has shot dead a 13-year-old Palestinian girl during an alleged stabbing attempt outside the Almon settlement in the occupied West Bank, situated near Jerusalem.
Ruqqayah Eid Abu Eid died on the scene, becoming one of at least 29 Palestinian children killed by Israeli forces or settlers in the last four months, according to Defence for Children International (DCI) - Palestine.
WORLD NEWS: Calais port delays as migrants target P&O ferry
Services from the port of Calais have been disrupted after 50 migrants boarded a ship, the city's mayor Natacha Bouchart has said.
It is understood that about 50 migrants in Calais boarded a P&O ferry named the Spirit of Britain, while it was unloading.

The Former National Security Adviser Colonel Sambo Dasuki (rtd), has asked the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja to stop his trial for the refusal of the federal government to obey an order of the court granting him bail. In December 2015, Dasuki was granted bail by Yusuf Baba, justice of the FCT high court; while at Kuje prison in Abuja, Dasuki perfected the conditions of his bail, but operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) reportedly whisked him away to an unknown location. On Friday, Joseph Daodu, Dasuki’s lawyer, said that he had neither seen his client nor conferred with him since he was taken into detention by the DSS.

United States-based scientists said that they have found evidence of an object they nicknamed "Planet Nine" orbiting the edge of the solar system, but some experts have their doubts.
The US team used mathematical modelling and computer simulations to "find" the object they claimed was a planet. Their research said that it was about 10 times the mass of Earth and had an odd, highly elongated orbit about 20 times further from the Sun than Neptune.
