Oh dear! NFF owes Nigeria Super Eagles Manager, Rohr three month salary

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has revealed that the poor state of its finances is the reason the salary of the Super Eagles manager, Gernot Rohr is being delayed.

As gathered, the Super Eagles coach has not been paid for the month of January, February and March this year. The German is reportedly on a $45,000 monthly salary.

A source in the Glasshouse also disclosed that other national team coaches under the employ of NFF are equally not being paid. “Rohr has not been paid for three months now. And there are outstandings due to other national team coaches,” the source said.

At least 100 people are dead after an "avalanche of water" engulfed the Colombian city of Mocoa in Putumayo, officials say.

Hours of heavy rain caused several rivers to overflow and sent mud and sediment onto houses and roads in the city of about 350,000 people, authorities said.

Carlos Ivan Marquez, from Colombia's national disaster agency, said the river flooded around midnight on Friday/Saturday, destroying homes and killing many people in their sleep.

The Premier League club announced this via their official Twitter account on Friday night.

Oh well! Boko Haram kingpin surrenders

Nigeria - A high-ranking member of the Boko Haram terrorist group, Mr Bulama Kailani Mohammed Metele, has surrendered to 145 Task Force Battalion, 5 Brigade troops at Damasak.

Army spokesman,  Brig.-Gen. Sani Usman, in a statement on Saturday in Maiduguri said that Metele, from Tumbun Bera in Borno, belonged to Mamman Nur’s faction of the terrorist group under the leadership of Abu Mustapha.

Nigeria - The Indigenous People of Biafra has declared May 30 as the day all supporters of Biafra will sit at home without going anywhere or doing any work.
