Police have stopped a drone carrying a large quantity of drugs and two mobile phones into Pentonville Prison in north London.
The low-flying drone was intercepted mid-flight towards the jail in Islington by an officer last Sunday and the package containing the goods recovered from it.
A second drone was seized earlier the same day by officers tracking it flying over the prison before it crashed.
The day before officers spotted a man acting suspiciously close to the prison.
He fled the scene on foot, dropping two bags containing a quantity of Class B drugs and mobile phones.
Detective Chief Inspector Steve Heatley, of the Metropolitan Police, said: "These recovered drones carried a substantial amount of Class B drugs, legal highs and a large quantity of mobile phones.
"We are able to intercept them thanks to the vigilance of officers and the public.
"We work closely with the prison service to gather intelligence in order to carry out proactive operations to arrest and prosecute such offenders."
Operation Airborne aims to deter and catch offenders attempting to deliver contraband into the prison.
No one has been arrested in connected with the three incidents.
