No fewer than 241 Nigerians, who were stranded in Libya, have been repatriated to the country.
It was learnt that the returnees arrived in the country on Tuesday around 3.45pm through the Muritala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos State.
They were said to have been received by the officials of the National Emergency Management Agency, who assisted them with food and transport fares.

The spokesperson for NEMA, South-West zone, Ibrahim Farinloye, confirmed the development, saying the returnees had been dispatched to their various destinations. Some of them, who were sick, were reportedly taken to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, for treatment.
He explained that of the 241 repatriated, 174 were males while 67 were females.
He said, “The International Organisation for Migration facilitated the repatriation of 241 Nigerian returnees from Libya today (Tuesday).
“The breakdown indicates that 67 were females (six under 18 years and four under four years) and 174 males (three under 18 years and one under four years).
“Three of the sick returnees, two females and one male, are currently receiving medical treatments at LASUTH.
“NEMA received the returnees at the MMIA, Lagos, and gave them refreshments before facilitating their transportation to their respective states of origin with transport fares.
“The returnees are some of the stranded Nigerians seeking greener pastures in foreign land through Libya.”
