A controlled explosion has taken place at Old Trafford after the ground was evacuated shortly before Manchester United's final league game of the season.
The 3pm kick-off against Bournemouth was abandoned after two stands were cleared due to reports of a "suspect package".
The club tweeted: "Due to the discovery of a suspect package in the NW Quadrant of the ground, the match has been abandoned today on police advice."
Manchester United described it as "operation code red".
Greater Manchester Police tweeted: "A controlled explosion has just been carried out within the stadium by bomb disposal experts at Old Trafford.
