WORLD NEWS: STORM KATIE FRUSTRATES EASTER TRAVELS IN PARTS OF ENGLAND

Flights are being diverted and train services cancelled as Storm Katie battered the country bringing winds of up to 105mph.
Motorists travelling home from the Easter weekend have been warned to delay their journeys until later this afternoon as weather warnings were issued for London and the South East.
At Gatwick Airport, 24 flights were diverted and 16 were cancelled. There were also delays and cancellations at Heathrow Airport.
A number of rail service were also cancelled and delayed, and Highways England said the Dartford River Crossing and M48 Severn Bridge were closed on Sunday night.
The M6 was closed between junctions 14 and 13 because of standing water but was cleared by early morning.
Around 2,000 homes were without power and hundreds of engineers were working to fix faults caused by the conditions in Surrey, Sussex and Kent.
London Fire Service dealt with 110 incident overnight including collapsed chimneys and scaffolding.
The Port of Dover suspended shipping movements because of the severe weather conditions.
A number of sporting events across the South were cancelled due to high winds and driving rain.
The Cambridge women's crew at Sunday’s Boat Race struggled to stay afloat as the incoming winds whipped up the water on the Thames.

A yellow warning for high winds is in place for south Wales, the East and South West, while the more serious amber warning has been issued for London and the South East.
There were 19 flood warnings in place for the South East and 92 flood alerts across the country.
In Staffordshire, Storm Katie brought snow.
Met Office forecaster Marco Petagna said: "There is likely to be a lot of surface spray on the roads, there could be localised flooding, and the winds could cause branches to come off the trees, and one or two tiles off the roof.
"On the south coast there could be quite large waves.
"People should keep tuned in to the forecast, and avoid the east coast, south coast and high grounds as well if possible.
"Allow extra time for your journey and if possible try and delay your journey as winds will tend to ease off throughout the day."
The winds are expected to have died down by later on Monday afternoon.
