WORLD ENTERTAINMENT: Adele reveals she cried all day after her Grammys performance had sound issues

Adele has revealed she "cried all day" after her performance at the Grammys was hit by sound issues.

The British star was singing her hit All I Ask from her new album, 25, when the sound dropped in and out and she sounded uncharacteristically off-key.

She tweeted to explain the technical hitch: "The piano mics fell on to the piano strings, that's what the guitar sound was. It made it sound out of tune. S**t happens."
On Wednesday she told The Ellen DeGeneres Show she wanted to tell everyone what happened straight away because there was a lot of confusion.

There had been some reports that the interference was caused by Justin Bieber rehearsing but Adele quickly dismissed this.
"It wasn't him. We're on great terms," she said.

"I was embarrassed. I woke up the next morning to people in England saying 'we still love you, don't worry'. And I was like, I didn't ask you if you still love me but thanks."

When DeGeneres asked her how she felt the next day she said: "I cried pretty much all day yesterday.

"The thing is, in fairness, I would have cried if it had went really well as well. If it had been a standout performance I would have cried as well. I always cry."

She said she consoled herself with a burger and beer after the ceremony.

"I don’t feel like it could go that much worse than the Grammy’s, so I feel like I’m alright now.

"If it wasn’t live TV I would have busted a joke, but because it was , I couldn’t make the disaster my own."
