FOOTBALL: Manchester United to restructure staffing and transfer policy after huge wastages in 3 years

It is clear Manchester United have spenthuge sums of money with little success in recent years. Therefore, the Red Devils' owners are keen to adopt a new model with key figures like their rivals' Spanish experts.

Manchester United are ready to make sweeping changes to their transfer and staffing policy in an attempt to emulate Manchester City's success, according to The UK Sun.

The Red Devils have spent upwards of £320 million on transfers since Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement in 2013, but are on course for their worst-ever top-flight finish since 1991.

Now the Glazer family are reportedly having executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward look into restructuring things behind the scenes, with key figures like City's Txiki Begiristain and Ferran Soriano working closely with the team's manager to identify new players.
