Idris Elba, Tim Roth and Dawn French are just some of the famous names who will star in Sky's new original productions.
The entertainment company has announced a slate of six high-quality dramas.
Academy Award winning writers John Ridley (12 Years A Slave) and Neil Jordan (The Crying Game) will create two of the programmes for Sky 1 and Sky Atlantic.
Elba will star in Ridley's Guerilla which is a love story set in the politically explosive 1970s.
Roth and Mad Men star Christina Hendricks will star in Tin Star, a revenge thriller set in Canada's Rocky mountains.
French makes her Sky 1 debut in Delicious, a story of love, heartbreak, food and female friendship set in the beautiful countryside of Cornwall's Tamar Valley.
The other dramas are Jordan's Riviera, starring Julia Stiles, Jamestown and The Last Dragonslayer which is based on the novels of the same name and stars Ricky Tomlinson.
Gary Davey, managing director, content, Sky, commented: "We know our original content is highly valued and a reason why customers choose and stay with Sky.
"Combining the scale and ambition of our Sky original productions with the best of the US and exclusive partnerships with HBO and Showtime, we believe our customers enjoy a better choice of drama at Sky than anywhere else in the world."
The new series follow a successful year for Sky with BAFTA nominations for The Last Panthers and The Enfield Haunting and recording-breaking viewing figures for Stan Lee's Lucky Man.
The hugely anticipated sixth series of Game Of Thrones is due to begin on Sky Atlantic on 25 April.
