A warehouse storing chemicals and fuel has exploded and caught fire in the eastern Chinese city of Jingjiang, according to the offical news agency, Xinhua.
The accident was at the premises of a company called Jiangsu Deqiao Storage, which is authorised to keep hazardous chemicals, reports said.
The Jingjiang government said the fire was "under control" with no deaths or injuries, and activity near the site had returned to normal.
Last August, a huge explosion at a factory where chemicals were being improperly stored in the northern city of Tianjin killed at least 165 people, and there were fears of toxic contamination.
But the official Xinhua news agency said it was still burning some hours later.
Around 400 firefighters were trying to put out the blaze, which was being fed by petrol storage tanks on the site, according to the fire department under the Ministry of Public SecurityLast August, a huge explosion at a factory where chemicals were being improperly stored in the northern city of Tianjin killed at least 165 people, and there were fears of toxic contamination.
