Former first lady, Patience Jonathan has filed another laswuit against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC for the invasion of her property in Abuja.
The case which commenced at the Federal High Court, Port Harcourt, today - 20th of February, 2017 was stalled due to the late response of the EFCC counsel.
The case was adjourned to 24th of April 2017. Mrs Jonathan has been in a battle with the EFCC after her bank accounts containing a total of $15 million were frozen by the anti-graft commission.
Mrs Jonathan filed an earlier suit seeking the unfreezing of her accounts and demanding damages of $200 million.
Respondents in the case are Skye Bank, former Special Assistant to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Waripama-Owei Dudafa, Pluto Property and Investment company Ltd, Seagate Property Development and Investment Company Ltd, Transocean Property and Investment Company Ltd and Globus Integrated Service Ltd. The 4 companies involved are owned by Dudafa.
