FCT, Nigeria - The Forefront has learnt that the National Assembly on Tuesday announced postponement of resumption of its two chambers from September 13 to September 20, .
The need to allow Senators and members of the House of Representatives to observe the Eid-El-Kabir celebration informed the shift in resumption date.

The Clerk to the National Assembly, Alhaji Mohammed Sani-Omolori, in a statement, urged Senators and House of Representatives members to comply with the new resumption date.
Omolori’s two-paragraph statement titled: “Postponement of resumption date” reads:
“This is to inform all distinguished Senators and members of the House of Representatives of the Federal Republic of Nigeria that the resumption date of both Houses in plenary has been rescheduled from Tuesday, 13th September, 2016 to Tuesday, 20th September, 2016.“All distinguished Senators and honourable House members are by this notice requested to resume sitting in plenary on Tuesday, 20th September, 2016 by 10.00am prompt.”
