Nigeria - About 37 military officers escape death in crash

About 37 military personnel escaped death at Gaya 65km south of Kano Friday morning when their convoy crashed into a ditch.

An eyewitness disclosed that the incident occured along Gay–Jahun federal highway at about 7.30 am when the convoy  tried to make a u-turn when they realised they had missed their way.

Adamu said that  “at the moment most of them are in critical conditions at Gaya General hospital, and there are visible cases of fractures among the wounded personnel”.

The eyewitness stated that from all indications, they were travelling to Maiduguri when they missed their road at Gaya- Dutse federal highway.

Confirming the incident, Captain Eze of 3rd Motorised Brigade, Kano, while confirming the incident told our source; “I would furnish you with details, as soon as it is available.”
