FOOTBALL {UCL FALL OUT} - IBRAHIMOVIC BLASTS BLANC AFTER PSG CRASH

Ibrahimovic has criticised Laurent Blanc’s decision to play three in defence as Paris Saint-Germain crashed out of the Champions League.
For the return leg of their quarter-final tie at the Etihad Stadium, Blanc opted to play Serge Aurier, Thiago Silva and Marquinhos in order to accommodate Edison Cavani and Zlatan Ibrahimovic in central roles.

But the tactical move backfired and the French champions ended up reverting to a back four for the second half as Manchester City sealed a 1-0 win following Kevin De Bruyne's strike.

"In the first half we played in a system that we'd never tried,” Ibrahimovic told Canal+ after the match. “It went as it went."
