The Forefront has learnt from a reliable source that men of the Joint Task Force (JTF) have prevented an attempt to destroy a pipeline in Gbaramatu on Tuesday.
It was gathered that JTF Operation, Pulo Shield, successfully repelled another attempt by a group of persons to destroy a strategic pipeline in the Odidi oil fields, situated at Kantu, one of the communities in Gbaramatu.
Unofficial source in the military confirmed this development and said:
“It happened in the early hours of Tuesday. One of our men was injured and the criminals sustained more casualties fleeing from us. We are still on their trail”, a reliable military source said.
