Facebook is creating 200 jobs at its international headquarters in the Irish capital Dublin.
The full-time roles will be in sales, engineering and online operations, the social network giant said.
All the positions at its base will be filled by the end of the year.
A Facebook spokesman said: "The announcement is a key milestone in Facebook's commitment to investing and growing its presence in Ireland."
Facebook recently doubled the size of its Silicon Docks premises, based between the River Liffey and the Grand Canal basin.
It already employs 1,300 staff at the site, which is in an area popular with many other high-tech multinational corporations, including Google and Twitter.
As part of its expansion plan, it has opened a Facebook Partner Centre, the first of its kind outside of California.
The centre aims to boost the company's fortunes in connectivity, artificial intelligence and virtual reality.
Earlier this year, the company also announced it was building a new data centre in Clonee, Co Meath, just outside of Dublin.
The centre is its second in Europe and first in Ireland.
Ireland's jobs minister Richard Bruton said the investments would be a boost for the country.
He said: "Not only does 200 direct jobs within Facebook mean hundreds of extra jobs in the local economy through supply and services companies, but these investments have huge knock-on impacts for the start-up community and for our ability to attract more multinational investment."
Facebook opened its first office in Ireland in 2009, a move that has attracted criticism due to the low rates of corporation tax that the company has been able to pay.
