A 40-year-old Indonesian man was killed when his mother’s coffin fell from a funeral tower and crushed him during a service on the island of Sulawesi on Sunday.

The deceased, Samen Kondorura, died from severe head injury when pallbearers lost their footing while carrying the coffin up a bamboo ladder in the Parinding valley in North Toraja district, local police said.

Nigeria - Suspected Boko Haram jihadists killed at least 31 people in a twin suicide bomb attack on a town in northeast Nigeria, a local official and militia leader told AFP on Sunday.

Two blasts ripped through the town of Damboa in Borno state on Saturday evening targeting people returning from celebrating the Eid al-Fitr holiday, in an attack bearing all the hallmarks of Boko Haram.

A couple on an extended vacation has died after they allegedly fell 100ft off a beach wall while taking selfies in Portugal.

The pair Louise Benson, and her partner, Michael Kearns, were taking pictures from a street overlooking the beach when they lost their balance and fell, local media reported.

According to Christian Onwugbolu, one pastor Emmanuel was killed by police officers when he tried to escape after officers accosted a robbery gang he was a member of.
