Acting President Osinbajo signs 2017 budget into law as expected

Acting President Yemi Osinbajo signing the 2017 Appropriation Act into law at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Monday (12/6/17). With him from left are: Senate President Bukola Saraki; Speaker, House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara; Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate), Sen. Ita Enang; Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters (House of Representatives), Suleiman Kawu; Minister of Budget and National Planning, Sen. Udoma Udo Udoma; Chief of Staff, Alhaji Abba Kyari; and Minister of Finance, Mrs Kemi Adeosun.

Nigeria - The Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo has finally signed the 2017 Appropriation Bill into law.
Osinbajo signed the document which was transmitted from the National Assembly to the Presidency a forth night ago at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The announcement was made by the Personal Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on New Media, Engagement Unit, Bashir Ahmad, on Monday.
Ahmad, who took to his twitter handle, wrote: “Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has signed the #Budget2017 into law at exactly 4:42 PM in his office at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.”
Recall we reported earlier that Osinbajo was to to sign the budget into law today after President Buhari gave him the go ahead.
