Nigeria - Acting President Yemi Osinbajo and the Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi, yesterday met at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The closed-door meeting, held inside Osinbajo’s office, lasted over two hours.
The emir arrived the Presidential Villa at 2:40pm and left at 4:45pm.
Sanusi declined comment, when approached by State House correspondents after the meeting.
Osinbajo is scheduled to meet traditional rulers from the North next week in furtherance of his consultative engagements with leaders from the North and the Southeast, over the agitation for Biafra and last week’s reaction by northern youths asking ethnic Igbo to vacate the region by October 1.
