
Nigeria - Students of the University of Abuja have blocked Abuja - Gwagwalada highway in protest over the killing of their colleague.
Daily Trust reports that the students alleged on Monday, February 20 that a reckless driver had killed the student and ran over four students who were seriously injured

The protesters blocked both entrance and exit sides of the highway, which is the the main expressway into Nigeria's capital city since around 6am, causing traffic gridlocks on the ever-busy Abuja expressway.
They also didn't allow any vehicle to pass the highway but permit passengers to disembark from vehicles &and gave them freeway to go about their daily duty.
A 200 level student of the university died in a tragic car accident while she was reportedly running from armed robbers that attacked her on her way to school.
It was gathered that the incident happened in front of the school’s permanent site gate.
According to a Facebook user, Abdulkereem Abdulwasiu Ayodeji, the student was on her way to school when she was attacked by armed robbers.
