A car bomb attack hit a police station in the southeastern Turkish province of Mardin on Wednesday, wounding many people, security sources said, a day after 11 people were killed in a bombing in Istanbul.
The attack hit the police station in the town of Midyat, north of the Syrian border, in the mainly Kurdish southeast. Many ambulances were seen rushing to the scene, the sources said.
No one has claimed responsibility for Tuesday's attack, which was the fourth on Istanbul this year, but Kurdish militants regularly stage car bomb attacks on police and security forces.
