FOOTBALL (PHOTO): Sir Alex Ferguson's look at the Anfield stands sums up how Manchester United fans are feeling at the moment

Louis van Gaal’s unbeaten record against Liverpool came to a devastating end for Manchester United fans tonight.

The Dutchman had won all five of his previous games against the Reds but the Red Devils were woeful as they lost 2-0 to Jurgen Klopp’s side.

The Europa League is United’s best chance to make next season’s Champions League tournament but they put in a hopeless performance at Anfield and, in truth, are lucky to still be in the tie going into next week’s second leg.

And, after such a poor display against their fiercest rivals, it was left to Sir Alex Ferguson in the Anfield stands to sum up how all United supporters felt after the performance.
