Scare As 10 Quarantined After Monkeypox Virus Suspiciously Hits Bayelsa State

Nigeria - No fewer than 10 people have been quarantined at the Niger Delta University Teaching Hospital in Yenagoa Local Government Area, Bayelsa State after contracting a viral infection suspected to be monkeypox.

The patients were brought to an isolation center in the hospital which was created by the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) and the epidemiological team of the Bayelsa State Ministry of Health.

Nigerian pop star, David Adeleke, known as Davido, has reacted to the rumors circulating online that he was involved in the death of his friend Tagbo Umeike, a graduate of Lagos State University. 

Davido in a series of messages via his Snapchat said he was disappointed over false information and lies circulating on the social media that he and his crew abandoned the body of Tagbo at a hospital in Lagos and absconded.
