At last, Court orders final forfeiture of over $2.7m former Petroleum Minister Diezani’s Abuja assets
Justice Mobolaji Olajuwon of the Federal High Court, Abuja Monday ordered the final forfeiture of two Abuja property and two luxury cars belonging to a former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, to the Federal Government.

On $1.3bn released cash, Diezani says she acted on Jonathan’s instructions
Nigeria - Former Minister of Petroleum Resources Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke yesterday said she acted on the instructions of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan in directing the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) to release $1.3billion to the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA).
She said it was not within the power or discretion of any minister to question or disregard the written directive of a president.

Judge orders temporary forfeiture of N1.5 billion properties linked to Alison-Madueke
Nigeria - Justice Mojisola Olatoregun of the Lagos Division of the Federal High Court has granted a request by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for the temporary forfeiture two properties allegedly belonging to Diezani Alison-Madueke, the former Petroleum Minister.

The properties, valued at $4.7 million include Penthouse 21 building 5, Block C, 11th floor (Bella Vista Estate) Banana Island, Ikoyi, and Penthouse 22, Block B (Admiralty Estate) also in Ikoyi, Lagos.

Court dismisses Diezani’s application for trial in Nigeria
The Federal High Court in Lagos on Wednesday rejected an application by a former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, seeking to be joined as a defendant in an alleged N450m fraud case in Nigeria.

Justice Rilwan Aikawa, while rejecting the application, described it as bizarre and a misuse of court processes, stressing that he would not allow himself to be used to frustrate Diezani’s imminent trial in the United Kingdom, where is currently under investigation and on bail.

Lauretta Onochie blasts Goodluck Jonathan and Diezani
Nigeria - Lauretta Onochie, the Special Assistant on Social Media to President Muhammadu Buhari, yesterday, fired shots at former First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan and ex-Petroleum Affairs Minister Diezani Alison-Madueke for what she called their weird demands.

According to her, Mrs Jonathan needed to be honest to Nigerians and come clean regarding her wealth allegedly acquired through corruption.

Embattled Diezani pleads to face trial in Nigeria
Former Petroleum Minister Diezani Alison-Madueke yesterday urged the Federal High Court in Lagos to order the Federal Government to facilitate her return to Nigeria to face trial.
She asked for an opportunity to defend allegations against her in a charge filed against a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Dele Belgore and former National Planning Minister Abubakar Suleiman.

EFCC traces $1.5b to Swiss bank as part of ex-Petroleum minister Diezani's probe
Nigeria is set to activate one of the agreements it signed with the United Arab Emirates to seize some mansions traced to former Oil Minister Diezani Alison-Madueke, The Nation reports.
Besides, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has traced about $1.5billion believed to be proceeds of crime to a Swiss account as part of the ongoing probe of the former minister.

Wow! Diezani Now Stays In Rented London Flat Amidst £11m Asset Forfeiture Woes
Nigeria’s former minister of petroleum resources Diezani Alison-Madueke, has decided to cut down her taste following the order by Nigerian courts forcing her to permanently forfeits assets worth £11 million to the Federal Government.
She had “Stepped down” on her taste and is now living in a rented apartment in the same London building housing, the $2.8 million property allegedly bought for her by Jide Omokore and Kola Aluko, her business associates according to The Cable.

EFCC assures OurmumuDonDo protesters that Dieziani will be repatriated to face trial
Nigeria - The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Monday hinted on the possibility of repatriating former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Dieziani Alison-Madueke to face trials in the country.
EFCC’s Executive Secretary, Emmanuel Aremu dropped the hint while addressing a coalition of Civil Society Organizations, CSOs, led by ace musician, Charles Oputa popularly known as Charlyboy at the Commission’s headquarters in Abuja.

At last Ex-Petroleum Minister Diezani breaks silence over $90bn loot
Nigeria - Former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Allison Madueke has finally spoken on several allegations of financial impropriety levelled against her by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
Diezani said she never stole Nigeria’s money.
The former Minister made the claim in a statement she issued yesterday.

Group kicks, says Ex-Minister Diezani's loot can build six world class airports

Nigeria - The stolen funds allegedly traced to former Petroleum Minister Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke could fund infrastructure growth, Buhari Media Support Group (BMSG) said yesterday in Abuja.
A statement by its Chairman, Mr. Austin Braimoh and Secretary, Mr. Cassidy Madueke, said government could build six world-class airports in each geo-political zone with part of the funds.
