Nigeria - Lagos state government on Friday announced the discharge of seven coronavirus patients after making full recovery from the new coronavirus.
“Today, seven more patients; three females and four males were discharged to reconnect with the community having recovered fully and tested negative twice consecutively,” Lagos State governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu said in a statement.
This brings to a total number of 46 patients who have fully recovered and discharged from the state’s facility in Yaba.
The governor also stated that the state has had 100 percent recovery from the cases that were admitted and managed at the isolation facility.
He said the three COVID-19 related deaths recorded in Lagos were not handled ay the government facility.
Sanwo-Olu noted that while residents celebrate this success, it is important that they practice social distancing.
“Please stay at home, observe the highest possible personal and hand hygiene, and adhere strictly to public advisories from our health experts,” Sanwo-Olu said.
