Nigeria - Imo State governor, Rochas Okorocha, has blamed his political rivals for wild accusations, even as he denied allegations he was running Imo government as a family business.
Okorocha, who made the remarks at the weekend when thousands of his supporters, under the aegis of Rochas Mandate Movement (RMM), called on him at Government House, Owerri, said his detractors were missing the point.
Boasting of his achievements, the governor disclosed that he sponsored 4,000 children through the Rochas Foundation while more than 15,000 students received training in various colleges of the foundation across the country.
He stressed that his ambition was to ensure steady academic development, adding that his son in-law (also the Chief of Staff, Government House), Uche Nwosu, and the deputy governor, Eze Madumere, who hail from Nkwerre and Mbaitoli Local Councils, had worked themselves to relevance and prominence.
