Alas! Newly wedded bride attacks husband with razor blade

Nigeria - 28-year-old newly-wedded bride, Shafa Muhammad has been arrested for attacking her husband with a razor blade, injuring him in his head.

The couple who resides at Arkillar Liman Area, Wamakko Local Government Area of Sokoto State got wedded barely three weeks before the incident.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, Shafa was allegedly forced to marry Umar Shehu against her wish.
“The husband went into her room to consummate the marriage when she attacked him with a razor blade.
“He sustained injuries on the head as a result of the attack,’’ a source close to the family, who pleaded anonymity.”
The state Police Command, ASP Ibrahim Abarass, confirmed the incident and said the husband had been treated and discharged from the hospital.
Abarass, however, said the wife is in police detention and would be prosecuted after investigation.
