The assertion that I have offered to return 26 million naira to EFCC in order to avoid prosecution is false. It is puerile rubbish.😂😂😂😅😅😅— Femi Fani-Kayode (@realFFK) February 6, 2017

This is coming a few hours after his lawyer, Ameh Raji (SAN), told a federal judge in Abuja that his client will take the option of settling out of court if the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) would allow it.
Fani-Kayode is facing a five-count charge of alleged money laundering amounting to N26 million before Justice John Tsoho of the Abuja Division of the Federal High Court.
The former minister was accused of allegedly collecting the said sum from the office of the former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki.
He was arraigned by the EFCC before Justice Tsoho on a fresh five-count charge bordering on money laundering.
