Singer Janet Jackson has announced she is expecting her first child at the age of 50.
Rumours the star was expecting had been circulating for several months after she postponed the second leg of a world tour earlier this year, telling fans she was hoping to start a family.
The news has now been confirmed in an interview with US publication People.
Jackson showed off her baby bump in a picture for the magazine, saying: "We thank God for our blessing."
No further details about the pregnancy or when she is due to give birth have been released.
The singer, whose hits include Rhythm Nation, That's the Way Love Goes and All For You, announced she was delaying her Unbreakable world tour in April, saying she and husband Wissam Al Mana were "planning our family".
She said there had been a "sudden change" to the second leg of her tour, but did not say that she was pregnant.
"Please, if you could try and understand that it's important that I do this now," she said. "I have to rest up, doctor's orders.
"But I have not forgotten about you. I will continue the tour as soon as I possibly can."
Jackson, who turned 50 in May, married Al Mana in 2012.
Her last single, released earlier this year, was the aptly-named Dammn Baby.
"She is super excited about her pregnancy and is doing extremely well," People reported, quoting a source close to the Jackson family. "She actually feels very good about everything."
