The Ogun State Police Command has arrested the fleeing 40 years old Pastor, Francis Taiwo, who chained his nine years old son, Korede, to a log of wood and left him to starve for weeks.

Pastor Taiwo who was arrested on Sunday by the Police with the help of members of Celestial Church of Christ in Otta, maltreated his son, Korede, on the allegations that the boy repeatedly stole money.

The boy was rescued last July 22 by security Operatives from a room around the church after they got a tip-off from a member of the community.

Pastor Francis, who hails from Benin Republic, but born in Otta, Ogun State, in the Celestial church, was ordained as a Celestial Church pastor in 2012.

According to the Ogun State Command’s Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, Taiwo Francis has two wives before he got married one to kehinde Taiwo – Korede’s step mother, and who is also a suspect in the matter.
