Instagram has launched a new logo - and some users aren't happy.
The photo-sharing app, which has 400 million monthly users, has ditched its retro logo in favour of a bright, multi-coloured design.
Instagram announced its new-look symbol and app with a 54-second video.
Its website said: "The Instagram community has evolved over the past five years from a place to share filtered photos to so much more - a global community of interests sharing more than 80 million photos and videos every day.
"Our updated look reflects how vibrant and diverse your storytelling has become."
Instagram is the fifth biggest social media site in the UK with 15 million users, according to social-media.co.uk.
Some users took to Twitter to vent their distaste.
One, @george_mckillop, wrote: "The new Instagram logo looks like something I'd have made in year 7 ICT."
Another, @MOGirlProbs, posted: "The new Instagram logo looks like a rejected starburst flavour."
@jamricuk tweeted: "So gutted with this new logo! Preferred the retro one so much more! This just looks cheap."
But not everyone disapproved.
Instagram user @angelarines said: "I actually hid my instagram app in a folder because the old logo was so ugly. #truestory Love love love the new one!"
