Jose Mourinho and Manchester United have come to an agreement on personal terms as the manager prepares to sign a three-year contract, according to The UK Sun.
The ex-Chelsea and Real Madrid man has long been expected to take the Old Trafford job, and speculation was only heightened when Louis van Gaal was sacked on Monday.
The newspaper subsequently reports that the two parties are ironing out the final details on Mourinho's deal, but confirmation may not come until Thursday.
