Chelsea are considering making a sensational swoop for outgoing Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini, according to the Daily Express.
The Chilean confirmed he's leaving Manchester City at the end of the season, with Roman Abramovich looking to appoint a new manager at Stamford Bridge at the same time
The Chilean, who turns 63 later this year, revealed he will leave City at the end of the season, with Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola set to take his place at the Etihad Stadium.
Pellegrini, though, is not ready to abandon his career as a top-level manager in Europe and is keen to listen to offers ahead of next season.
And Chelsea, who sacked Jose Mourinho earlier this season, are reportedly weighing up making an offer.
Guus Hiddink is currently in charge at Stamford Bridge, with Roman Abramovich handing the Dutchman a short-term deal before appointing a permanent manager in the summer.
