Pioneer stand up comedian, Prince Elvins Godwin Allam-Blossom, popularly known as Allam-Blooo, made his return to stage with an elaborate comedy show tagged “Laff Nigeria Discovery Show Live”.
According to him, the show, which was sponsored by Sunny Side Hotels and Suites, was to celebrate his 31 years on stage and also launch his project, Naija Must Laff TV/Radio show aimed at discovering new talents.
His words: “Naija Must Laff TV/Radio show is aimed at discovering new talents and stars. And Laffotainment (Laughter World Foundation for Change) is using the talent hunt project to discover comedians, musicians, dancers and models. It is also being used to tell the secrets and ethics of the business, and in the end certificate will be issued to them. Most comedians and musicians do not know the ethics of the profession; these are what we want to teach them.”
Commenting on why he sponsored the show, Mr. Henry Asobiara, Managing Director, Sunny Side Hotels and Suites, said the show is a way of changing the situation of things in the country. “People are no longer laughing. We used the show to make people to laugh away their sorrows, and to encourage new talents in the country. A lot of people have talents but they don’t know how to go about it, but with Allam Blooo, the sky will be their limit.”
