A baby and a three-year-old boy have been stabbed to death at a house in east London.
A one-year-old girl was pronounced dead at the scene on Aldborough Road North in Ilford, while the boy died later in hospital where he was being treated for his injuries.
A 40-year-old man was also taken to hospital for treatment after suffering knife injuries.
According to the Metropolitan Police, which responded to the incident on Sunday evening, the three are known to each other.
A murder investigation has now been launched but officers are not searching for anyone in connection with the incident.
In a tweet, Redbridge Council leader Jas Athwal sent his condolences to the families and wider community affected by the "unspeakable tragedy".
He added: "We ask that everyone please respects the family's privacy at this difficult time."
