Nigeria - A middle-aged man identified as Muhammed on Saturday night committed suicide in Auchi, in Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State.
It was gathered that Muhammed who is a motorcycle spare parts dealer has been behaving strangely.
He was said to be have complained of having sleepless nights in recent weeks but could not really disclose what was the problem.
It was further gathered that the deceased was found dangling in his building where he hanged himself in the early hour of the morning.
Source said the deceased told some people that he was tired of life and that it was time for him to go but no one envisaged he was going to commit suicide.
“At a point he attempted to drink rat poison but his wife sighted him and prevented him from drinking it,” the source said.
It was also gathered that on the fateful day, he spent time with his family before every one went to bed only to discover in the morning that he had committed suicide
When contacted the State Police Public Public Relation officer, DSP Moses Nkombe, said the matter was not reported to the police.
