Nigeria - A soldier has been reportedly killed by unknown gunmen near a gas facility at Ubeta community in Ahaoda-West Local Government Area of Rivers State, Daily Post reports.
It is understood that the inhabitants of Ubeta are now living in fear of possible security raid following the incident that happened on Sunday.

A source from the community, who confirmed the development suggested that the assailants who attacked the soldier may be fleeing cultists from neighbouring Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni Local Government Area.
Also speaking, Chief Chimezie Nathaniel, who is the Paramount Ruler of Ubeta community, told his people to remain calm and await the outcome of investigations.
Meanwhile, the body of the slain soldier has been removed by some of his colleagues.
A community source revealed that there remains uneasy calm in the community, as inhabitants were in fear of attack by the military.
There has not been any statement from the military over the murder of the soldier.
