A resident of Makata, Nakisunga Sub-county, Mukono District Ugandan, identified as Musa kisakye has attacked his wife, Mrs Olivia Nangonzi after she informed him that her parents have enrolled her for a nursing course in the United States.

Kisakye allegedly attacked his wife with a knife and left a deep cut on her neck.
According to the police District commander, Mr Rogers Seguya, after committing the crime, Kisakye who thought he had accomplished his mission, used the same knife to slice his neck.
The mother of one said “He thought he had killed me. Actually I was too weak and I could not scream. That was when he also cut his neck.”
She said, “I was preparing to set off to America this very week. Unfortunately, my husband wanted to kill me, claiming that he wanted me to stay at home without upgrading my skills.”
Mr Seguya has said that if Kisakye recovers, he will be charged with attempted murder.
