Nigeria - The wife of the President of Nigeria, Mrs Aisha Buhari has declared on Saturday that her Husband, the president is recovering real well.
She assured the public that he is responding to treatment and would soon return to the country.
Aisha Buhari was a special guest at the 23rd Annual Ramadan Lecture of the Ansar-ud-deen Society of Nigeria (ADS) held in Abuja where she was represented by her Senior Special Assistant on Administration, Dr Hajo Sani.
President Buhari returned to the United Kingdom in May for what he described as follow-up medical checks a couple of months after returning from an extended vacation in London where he received medical attention.
Mrs Aisha Buhari, who left for London about 5 days ago, in the speech delivered on her behalf by Dr Sani said,
“My husband is recovering very fast. And very soon, he will return to the country to resume his official duties.”“I thank Nigerians for their prayers for my husband. Please, do not relent in your prayers,” she added.
The Nation reports that the deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Yusuf Lasun who was equally present at the event, praised President Buhari for restoring sanity to governance in Nigeria.
