Nigeria - The Presidency has announced that President Muhammadu Buhari will officially resume his duty on Monday next week.
Buhari’s resumption was announced by his media aide, Femi Adesina on his twitter handle @FemAdesina.
Adesina disclosed that the President would transmit a letter to the National Assembly on his resumption.
According to Adesina, the letter would make Buhari’s return to the country formal and constitutional.
He wrote,“PMB will Monday transmit letter to N’ Assembly on his return to the country. That makes his return to work formal, and constitutional.”
Buhari had in January embarked on medical vacation to London, United Kingdom, UK.
Shortly after his departure, rumour had it that he was dead and this was fuelled by the fact that sent a letter to the National Assembly, informing them of his decision to extend his vacation on the day he was expected back then.
Buhari, however, arrived the country in the wee hours of Friday.
He touched down at the new Kaduna International Airport amid tight security at about 4.pm.
Presidency sources said the President arrived at about 4am.
