PDP and APC supporters clash as Rivers Rerun commences

Nigeria - Supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party and the All Progressives Congress have clashed at ward 7 unit 9 in Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area.
It was gathered that three persons were allegedly injured.

Director General of Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency NIMASSA, Dr. Dakuku Peterside, who hails from the area has reportedly visited the the scene of the clash.
When contacted Peterside said, “Opobo/Nkoro is peaceful generally now. We observed that they imported some people from outside the LGA.

“Election materials for one unit was hijacked by some boys, but the security agencies have recovered them. Materials have arrived and it (election) is going orderly for now.”
