Oh Awwwweeee... Police dog stabbed while chasing armed suspect

A police dog needed surgery after being stabbed several times in the head and chest while chasing an armed suspect.
German shepherd Finn had a four-hour operation following the attack in Stevenage, Hertfordshire.

Officers had initially been called to reports of a man with a gun robbing a taxi driver shortly before 11pm on Tuesday.
Just over two hours later, a taxi company got in touch with police to say they had concerns about a booking they had received.
A suspect fled the scene as officers arrived, and Finn and his handler were wounded in the chase.
The officer was taken to hospital with an injured hand and Finn needed emergency surgery for serious stab wounds.
The combined dog units for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire police said the operation appeared to have been a success and that Finn would now be closely monitored.
Several people have been arrested.
A 16-year-old from Lewisham, south London, was held on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, conspiracy to rob, possession of a firearm and possession of a bladed article.
Following a search at a nearby property, a 35-year-old woman from Stevenage was arrested on suspicion of possession of class A drugs with intent to supply, as well as an unrelated fraud matter.
A 17-year-old from London was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to rob and conspiracy to supply class A drugs.
Two people, a 31-year-old man from Stevenage and a 36-year-old woman from Luton, were stopped in a vehicle and arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon.
