A fake policeman who allegedly extorts people at Oke Oro area of Ogun State has been arrested by men of the state police command.
Odiakaose Anene, a resident of Irapada Street, Matogun, was arrested by a patrol team while driving a Honda car marked BW891LSR.
He was said to have identified himself as a policeman and presented a Police Constable Warrant Card to back up his claim.
But in the course of interrogation, the policemen discovered that he was an impostor.
Anene’s house was searched and police uniform, two police trousers, one police beret with crest and police training manual were found.
The Ogun command’s spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), said the suspect would be arraigned in court at the end of investigation.
