Again Nigerian Senate President Saraki loses bid to stop CCT tial

Image result for Saraki fails

The Forefront has learnt that again, Senate President, Bukola Saraki has lost in his bid to have the Chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT), Danladi Umar excused from his trial.

The CCT Chair, in a ruling today morning, refused Saraki’s application to that effect.

Saraki is being tried over alleged corruption and false assets declaration.
Saraki had asked Umar to recuse himself from the trial for allegedly making some prejudicial comments in the course of proceedings.
The tribunal said the allegation by Saraki was unfounded, spurious and based on speculation.

The trial was adjourned to November 7 for continuation.
