Photos: Awwww... Baby born without eyes in China - Anophthalmia




In China, a baby boy who is yet to be named has been born with an extremely rare disease called Anophthalmia, meaning he has no eyes. An 8-days-old boy (he was born on September 20) from Guangzhou, China, will never be able to see as he has no eye tissue. Currently, there is not a treatment option for regaining vision by developing a new eye. There are, however, cosmetic options so the absence of the eye is not as noticeable.
