Several people were injured on Sunday as the Kaduna Music Festival ended in violence.
Police fired teargas and shot into the air as some attendees engaged security operatives in a scuffle at the event organised by the Kaduna State Government.
The violence started as the Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Shagali, gave his closing remarks, a reporter at the scene said.
Some youth jumped on the stage and threw sticks and bottles at the police. The motive of the youth is not yet clear.
